Minister of Education and Training, Owen Nxumalo, has announced the appointment of eight new members to the Southern African Nazarene University (SANU) Board of Directors, including three pastors.
The announcement was made this morning during a formal ceremony held in the ministry’s conference room.
Minister Nxumalo emphasized the importance of a diverse and experienced board to guide SANU's continued growth and development.
In addition to announcing the new appointments, Minister Nxumalo urged the board members to prioritize responsible resource management.
He stressed that all resources provided by the government, regardless of their perceived sufficiency, must be handled with utmost care.
"Even if it's not enough, it gets significantly worse when mishandled."
He implored the new board to ensure transparency and accountability in their stewardship of university funds and assets.
The members are:
1. Reverend Lucky Gama
2. Reverend Thulani Simelane
3. Reverend Anthony Masilela
4. Lihle Dlamini
5. Dr C Thwala
6. Dr Buyisile Dladla
7. Dr Buyisile Mngometulu (Secretary)
8. Sibusiso Ntshalintshali (member)
