Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade Manqoba Khumalo has reiterated the country’s commitment towards providing aftercare for businesses willing to invest in the Kingdom of Eswatini.
The minister told over 600 delegates during the 25th World Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce (WTCC) held in Emperors Palace, Johannesburg, over the weekend that Eswatini was open for business.
He was one of the keynote speakers during the meeting.
The minister made a presentation on investment and trade opportunities in Eswatini. The Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA) was also available to assist and provide necessary support for approval formalities and set up processes in Eswatini; including further consultations by the companies.
The two-day meeting began on Friday and constituted Taiwanese companies doing business across the globe.
It gathered six intercontinental associations under the World Federation of Taiwan Chamber of Commerce, which are currently distributed in 76 countries and regions, 188 regional chambers of commerce, and more than 10 000 member companies.
The main objective of the meeting was to promote cooperation between Taiwanese businesses in all regions of the world, seek common development of industry and commerce, and explore international markets.
The companies that participated in the meeting came from various industries across the globe including manufacturing, assembly, science and technology, agribusiness, pharmaceuticals, hotels and tourism, amongst other sectors.
