Prime Minister Cleopas Dlamini has sent a message of sympathy to the Republic of China (Taiwan) following the earthquake that hit on Sunday.
Dlamini said he had hit in in command by His Majesty, King Mswati III, Her Majesty the Queen Mother, the Government and people of the Kingdom of Eswatini, as well as his own, to express our heartfelt sympathy to President Tsai Ing-wen.
This was in reaction to the earthquake that hit the southern part of Taiwan on Sunday, derailing train carriages, causing an inconvenience store to collapse and trapping hundreds on mountain roads.
“It is our hope and prayer that the Almighty God will comfort the families, friends, the Government and the entire People of the Republic of China (Taiwan) on this devastation,” said Dlamini. The ministry of foreign affairs and international cooperation also availed itself of this opportunity to renew to the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) in Mbabane, assurances of its highest consideration.
