By TANELE SIHLONGONYANE | 2024-07-27

SOUTH African amapiano sensation Aymos set the stage on fire and shut the 8th edition of Embiveni Biggest Braai.

This was at Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre where Aymos amongst other artists performed on Sunday at the Embiveni Biggest Braai after party.

Aymos was the headlining act, who was revealed last Thursday as a surprise act for the after party.

Aymos arrived at the venue after 12am. The singer made a grand entrance into the venue as he was escorted by two cars. As soon as the convoy entered the venue, screams could be heard from the revellers.

He was then escorted to the stage by security personnel and some local artists such as M-Nation.

Revellers could not contain their excitement when the musician stepped on stage, as they quickly rushed to the front arena to witness his live performance which lasted for about 20 minutes.

Aymos captivated the audience with his electrifying performance, and left revellers yearning for more. ‘Ezamzukwana, ezamzukwana, ngikhumbul ezamzukwana.’ In a whirlwind of music and energy, Aymos sang, leaving fans in awe and dancing the night away.

Fan favourite songs like 'Emcimbini', 'Fatela', and 'Mama' had the crowd on their feet, while 'Izenzo' took the energy to new heights.

What set Aymos apart was his interaction with the audience, from high-fives to selfies, he made sure every fan felt a part of the experience as he promised.
One attendee, Bahle Simelane, summed it up perfectly, saying, “Aymos' energy was brilliant.

I loved how he was interacting with us, his high energetic performance made the show worth attending,” she said.

The show was initially slated to commence at 6pm but the venue was quite empty at that time as there were only a handful of people.

At 8pm, a larger group of people were seen at the venue.
The line-up was jam-packed with local talented deejays who when took to the stage and ensured to keep the night alive. DJ Lady Zee took the stage at 9pm and was a marvel to watch as she kept the crowd on their feet, dancing to amapiano tunes.

The MCs for the night, were the charismatic Jumbo Khumalo and Bayanda who also ensured that everyone had lots of fun and was part of the show. They engaged with the audience, creating a lively atmosphere as well as an unforgettable experience.

DJ Maphi took to the stage at 10pm and kept the groovy momentum going with hip hop tunes.
He took revellers back to the good old times with his rendition of old school music that the crowd sang and danced along to.

M-Nation also gave the audience an unforgottable show with his energetic performance which warmed up the venue.

DJ Fantasy took to the turn-tables right after and delivered an electrifying set. The crowd was however agitated as they wanted to know if the headlining act Aymos would show up or not. Some of the revellers started leaving the venue.

DJ Matamza was also a marvel to watch as he also incorporated musical instruments such as drums to his set which made the experience unique and commendable.
The DJs held the show down from the evening till 12:50 am, when the headliner Aymos took to the stage.

After his performance DJ Zulu D, who is a renowned DJ and the Founder of Megasound stable, took to the stage and kept up the momentum. By this time the crowd was slowly making their way out of the venue.
