LEON MANYISA AT TTM ASSESSMENT

By Jongile Xuba | 2020-10-11

Soccer – Mbabane Swallows’ latest acquisition Leon Manyisa is reportedly on trials with South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) side Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM).

According to sources within the Limpopo based side the new PSL team is assessing the young attacking midfielder for their 2020/2021 squad.

“We have been hosting trials at the club over the weekend and have had some players  including Leon from Eswatini.

He has been here since Thursday and will be playing in some friendlies with other clubs as the board makes a decision on whether they will sign him or not,” said the source. This will come as a surprising turn of events following Manyisa’s recent switch to the Birds in July from First Division side Vovovo. Mbabane Swallows Communications Officer Manqoba Mabuza would not be drawn into making an official comment on the club’s stance based on what he termed as rumours. “We are not in a position to comment on hearsay and rumour mongering as a club.

We are a professional and well cultured institution that has standard operational procedures; we don't just do things. In the event of certain developments we will accordingly inform all our stakeholders,” he said.

Meanwhile, TTM Chairman Masala Malaudzi could not respond to a questionnaire sent to him yesterday.

Having recently acquired their status from Bidvest Wits a successful move to Vhadau Vhadamani would make Manyisa the third Liswati to join the PSL.

He would join the likes of TS Galaxy’s Felix ‘Fela’ Badenhorst and Justice Figareido.
