By Xolisile Sacolo | 2025-03-14

THE Eswatini Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association (EOCGA) will be represented by EOCGA President Adam Mthethwa and CEO Maxwell Jele at the upcoming 22nd Ordinary Session of the African National Olympic Committees Association (ANOCA) General Assembly.

The event will take place in Algiers, Algeria, tomorrow and Saturday.
This was revealed by EOCGA Marketing and Communications officer Mkhulisi Dlamini.

Dlamini said this significant gathering would bring together representatives from various National Olympic Committees across Africa to discuss vital issues related to the development of sports on the continent and to make important decisions that will shape the future of athletics in Africa.
Mthethwa and Jele are scheduled to return on March 17th.

“During their time in Algiers, President Mthethwa and CEO Jele will engage in discussions concerning the advancement of Olympic sports, share insights on national sports initiatives, and collaborate with other leaders to enhance the Olympic movement across Africa," he said.

He said over and above that, the assembly is an opportunity for Eswatini to strengthen its ties with other nations and to advocate for the interests of our athletes and sports programmes.
