ZEUS THE INK SHARES ART WITH SOUTH AFRICAN HIP-HOP STARS

By DEO GRATIAS MAGAGULA | 2025-01-04

ESWATINI National Arts and Culture award-nominee artist Siyanda Dlamini famously known as Zeus The Ink has been making waves by sharing his drawings with South African artists performing in Eswatini during the festive season.

Zeus The Ink, an avid hip-hop fan, revealed that he drew rappers Touchline and Tony Dayimane, inspired by their music and performances.

Touchline performed at Mayhem at Solanis, while Dayimane is known for hit song ‘Skuta Baba’ remix performed at BK lodge’s crossover event.“I’m a big fan of hip-hop, and I created the illustrations based on their songs,” shared Zues.

He described his excitement of meeting Touchline, who showed interest in his creative process.
“He wanted to know how I came up with the idea and illustration.

I just wanted to meet one of my favourite artists and show appreciation for his work,” explained Zeus. Though Zeus missed meeting Tony Dayimane in person due to attending the 2025 crossover church service, his friends delivered the drawing on his behalf.

“From the videos I saw, he looked thrilled. He even commented on some of my Instagram posts and called me a star,” Zeus said. This wasn’t Zeus’s first time sharing art with artists. He previously created a piece for Sarnilo and hopes that by engaging with well-known musicians, his work will gain more exposure.

“I’m trying to put myself out there and connect with artists who can promote my work to a larger audience. I hope this leads to more people reaching out and wanting to collaborate with me,” concluded Zues.
