THE BOYS WILL DO IT FOR ‘GIVEN’ - KNOWLEDGE

By XOLISILE SACOLO | 2024-10-18

SOCCER - WITH this coming weekend games being the first for Mbabane Swallows after the tragedy that befell their player, Mxolisi 'Given' Lukhele, the team is ready to fight on in their match against Green Mamba.

There will be played on Saturday at the reopened Mavuso Sports Centre
This was said by the team’s Public Relations Officer (PRO), Knowledge Ngwenya, when he assured the team's hordes of supporters that they should rally behind the team as it put the pieces together.

Ngwenya said with the absence of Lukhele, the players were affected psychologically, thus his replacement would not be easy among the players in his position since he was in the first XI.

“The situation is not easy among  the players. Looking at the fact that during their last game against Sidvwashini, Given was there and they won and it is not easy to grasp this. Apart from that, as soon as they get into the field, the players will be affected more, and this cannot only happen to the players but to everyone.

But then I trust the boys will soldier on and do this for Given," he said.
He statedd that the players had been triggered by Given’s situation, and it was a difficult pill to swallow adding that, however, they needed to be strong and make sure they went all out for him.
He said it won’t be easy but they had no choice but to fight for him.

“Nkulunkulu ukhona ngeke asilahleke, udvute nalaba limele tinhlitiyo," he said. The PRO said the entire Mbabane Swallows family was standing strong with 'Given' during these difficult times.
