WE WILL FRUSTRATE G. MAMBA - MASONDEZA

By Mgcini Dube | 2023-12-03

Soccer - Siphofaneni based side Madlenya FC head coach William ‘Masondeza’ Gamedze says they will be out to maintain their unbeaten record in the current campaign, and have prepared a plan for Green Mamba.

They host the gun blazing defending champions at KaLanga Stadium in a double header, which will also feature crowd pullers Mbabane Highlanders against rejuvenated Manzini Sea Birds.

The coach said they had perfectly planned for the Correctional Services side because they knew that they have the ability to hurt anyone if given the chance.

He added  they would play a closed game in order to contain them and deny them the liberty to play their normal game of football. “We need to get an early goal and then defend well.

‘‘They are not a closed book so we know their normal approach and have had enough time to watch them. ‘‘I tapped into the psychological aspect of my players during training, as they need to be mentally fit to match them,” he said.

Gamedze further stated that they would not be bothered by the fact that some of their key players were suspended for the match, but said they would obviously miss them on the day.

Green Mamba head coach Enerst Mavuso was not drawn for comment as his phone rang unanswered after being called several times Jozi Gobana as Madlenya is fondly known, are just one place away from the log leaders Inyoka eluhlazane with 17 points after nine games and the Mavuso led troops are comfortable sitting at the top of the log with 20 points with the same number of games played.
