RAPPERâ€™S MOM FOUND OUT SONâ€™S DEATH ON SOCIAL MEDIA

IT is a sad week in the entertainment industry of the country after a young rapper with a resilient spirit took his own life.

The ‘Winnasay’ singer well known as Marcus SD was found hanging from the roof of his rented apartment in Thembelihle by his girlfriend on Monday.

The rapper’s adoptive mother Jabulile Mdluli said she was not only devastated by the sudden death of her son but by finding out on social media struck deep.

“It hurts because of the way we found out about his death, but I am at peace with it because we are not his biological family.

“ It is a complicated issue since I took him in when his father passed on and I have no idea where to find his biological mother because we never communicated but I am making plans to find her,” she said.

Social media was abuzz with condolence and tribute messages on Monday afternoon. A number of entertainers mourned the death of one of their own, not knowing that his family had not been formally informed of the sad news.

Emotions

Mdluli was overcome with emotions when she found out the reason her beloved son resorted to taking his own life. Mdluli has informed Marcus’s biological family of the sudden death and they are yet to discuss funeral logistics.

Born Mcebo Mnisi, he was adopted by Mdluli in 2014 after the death of his father.

Mdluli also said that she would like to send her condolences to everyone who worked and was friends with Marcus as everyone has lost something because of Marcus’s passing.

He leaves behind a son who is barely five years old.

Marcus has released countless number of songs such as ‘Winnasay’ which was a valentine’s jam inspired by the woman he loved.

He also released songs titled ‘Frenemies’, ‘Grand Piano’ and many more. Before the rapper passed on he had worked on a track titled ‘The Movement’ with artists PcM, Crowdpuller and Costa King.

He has collaborated with many other artists such as Lyrikal Busta and many others.

Marcus SD has performed alongside phenomenal local and international artists such and Kwesta, The Muffins, Frank Casino, Bholoja and Tiyas King, to name a few.
