WE WILL BEAT SIHLANGU AGAIN - EGYPTIANS

By Sibusiso Masilela | 2018-10-15

SOCCER - EGYPTIAN Soccer fans have predicted another victory  over Sihlangu ahead of  the 2019 AFCON qualifier return match slated for the Mavuso Sports Centre tomorrow.

When interviewed in the streets of Cairo yesterday morning, the fans said their team would definitely cruise to yet another win over Sihlangu Semnikati. The overly excited fans said they were not worried going into the second leg tomorrow.

“The team will definitely win again on Tuesday (tomorrow) and I think we will score four or more goals away,” said one of the fans. A lot more interviewed were optimistic their team would beat Sihlangu.

Buoyed by their 4-1 victory last Friday night at the Al-Salam Stadium inside the densely populated capital of Cairo, Egypt are preparing for a return match against Sihlangu tomorrow afternoon at the Mavuso Sports Centre. Egypt is desperate to win tomorrow’s match to confirm qualification to next year’s Africa Cup of Nations finals to be staged in Cameroon.

Tunisia is currently top of Group J having maintained their 100 per cent run in the qualifiers with a hard fought 1-0 win over Niger on Saturday and will also qualify for the finals with a win in their return match away tomorrow against the same Niger.  This is what they had to say:

Omar

“We will beat Eswatini 3-0 during the second leg. Nothing can stop our team from winning again on Tuesday (tomorrow). We have a strong team and all the players in the squad are ready to conquer on foreign soil in the absence of Salah who is injured. It would be nice to have Salah play but again resting the player is the best option so that he can fully recover, “he said.

Mustapha

“The Pharoahs will once again win against Swaziland (Eswatini). Sihlangu is also a capable side that needs some proper guidance. I am also predicting a 3-0 win away for my country. We will again and I am sure they will score more than two goals. I might travel to Eswatini to watch the match,” he said.

Mohamed

“This is going to be an exciting game between the two countries but we will win the match in the absence of star player Mo Salah, who had a great game last Friday night. I foresee a 0-3 win for my country. This team from Eswatini is not a threat even though they will be playing at home,” he said.

Meanwhile, Sihlangu arrived in the country yesterday after leaving Cairo on Saturday night. The nation pride’s opposition Egypt were also expected to land in the country yesterday afternoon on a chartered plane. The Pharoahs will be without the services of their star striker Mohamed Salah, who is struggling with a muscle pull.
