MTN PROMISES ‘MASSIVE’ CSI PROJECT

By Hlengiwe Ndlovu | 2018-05-24

AS part of its 20-year celebrations, MTN Chief Executive Officer Ambrose Dlamini has promised a massive Corporate Social Investment project this year.

The CEO did not delve into specific details of this project save for the promise that it will be massive and worthwhile. As part of its CSI programmes the company normally hosts ‘21 Days of Y’ello Care’, an annual employee volunteer initiative launched in 2007. The campaign promotes participation of MTN staff, and partners, in high-impact social projects.

Dlamini was speaking on Tuesday where the company officially unveiled two Ford Everest vehicles worth E500 000 each which will be given away by MTN to its lucky customers as part of the company’s 20-year anniversary celebrations.

Apart from the latest Ford vehicles, the company will also give away eight motorbikes, airtime and Mobile Money weekly prizes worth E5 000 in total.

This is made up of 5×E1 000 weekly Mobile Money cash prizes. The promotion is open for both post-paid and prepaid customers and it will run for 10 months, until March 2019.
