Zee Nxumalo, a multi-platinum singer and songwriter, is set perform at the MTN Bushfire Firefly grand finale.
This will be on April 24 at the iconic House on Fire amphi theatre.
Penny Bouwer, MTN Bushfire Firefly Project Manager, confirmed these developments, highlighting Nxumalo's significance as a role model for aspiring artists in the region.
She said Zee Nxumalo, who had made waves in the music industry, was celebrated not only for her talent but also for her roots as a Liswati artist.
Bouwer emphasised that Nxumalo's success story serves as an inspiration for the upcoming artists participating in the MTN Bushfire Firefly competition.
“She will serve as a motivation for the upcoming artists who are part of the MTN Bushfire Firefly competition. We are also excited to have her. She is a very talented artist,” Bouwer stated.
Nxumalo's rise to fame has been meteoric, with her single ‘Funk 55’ achieving platinum status in South Africa. Bouwer said Nxumalo’s music, which blends various genres, resonates with a wide audience, making her a fitting choice to headline the prestigious event.
