SOCCER - THEY have suddenly become the team of the moment!
This is none other than ambitious side Nsingizini Hotspurs, who have announced the signing of striker Ayanda Gadlela, Sikhumbuzo Mazibuko and Romao Joao before the January transfer window closes.
Gadlela joined ‘Insingizi Yezulu’ after resigning from capital city side Mbabane Swallows two weeks ago.
Joao, who is from Mozambique, will be with the Shiselweni-based side until the end of the season.
Meanwhile, Mazibuko is a former Betway Premiership side AmaZulu player. Once their (Mazibuko and Joao) work permits are approved, the players will be eligible to play this weekend.
The two foreign players have been training with the team for almost two weeks and they have decided to sign them. The new signings’ pictures were also shared by the team on their facebook page.
Nsingizini Hotspurs CEO Banele Ngobe said they were excited to welcome the three players.
He said they would help them to settle in quickly.
“We are very pleased to announce the acquisition of experienced players and we wish them all the best. “We will do our utmost to help them settle in quickly and look forward to seeing them in action soon.”
Ngobe said they knew the quality they were looking for and hoped these players would contribute to the squad as they continued to build.
"The introduction of these players is indicative of our desire to challenge for the honours, but I must say that we will not put the players under unnecessary pressure."
In outlining the remainder of the season’s plans, Ngobe said bit by bit all missing pieces of the puzzle were coming together nicely if one looked at the players they had just acquired.
"At training they look determined to add value to the team and soon people will see what we intend making of this squad."
He pleaded with all their stakeholders to welcome the new players to the team. Meawhile, Nsingizini Hotspurs will take on Young Buffaloes in the MTN Premier League this weekend. The match will be played at a venue yet to be announced by the Premier League of Eswatini.
