ALGERIAN President Abdel-madjid Tebboune has relayed a special message to His Majesty King Mswati III; reaffirming the strong and enduring bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
The president was represented by Algerian Minister of Communication, Mohamed Meziane, who delivered a special message from President Tebboune to His Majesty.
The special envoy was in the country for the past two days and was welcomed by Prime Minister Russell Dlamini at the Royal Villas in Ezulwini.
Also present were the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Pholile Shakantu, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Algeria to Eswatini, Ridha Nebaïs, who presented his credentials to the kingdom last year.
Senior government officials from both sides participated in the discussions, underscoring the importance of this high-level engagement.
According to a statement issued by the ministry of foreign affairs and international, cooperation diplomatic relations between Algeria and Eswatini, established in 1994, have been built on shared values of peace, development and African unity.

The ministry said the visit highlighted the countries' commitment to fostering stronger bilateral ties and exploring opportunities for collaboration in areas such as trade and investment through enhancing trade flows and fostering investments in agriculture, energy and manufacturing to benefit both economies.
Other opportunities for collaboration that were explored included education and training through expanding Algeria’s scholarship programmes and technical training opportunities for Emaswati students to include vocational and specialised fields.

During the meeting, the two nations also explored opportunities in the agriculture and food security through collaborating on sustainable agricultural practices, leveraging Algeria’s expertise in desert farming to enhance food security in Eswatini.
Also discussed were opportunities for strengthening healthcare systems through joint initiatives, training medical personnel, and sharing expertise in public health as well as promoting cultural exchange programmes and joint initiatives to develop the tourism industries of both nations.

The ministry said the visit reaffirmed both countries’ dedication to fostering partnerships that promote African unity, peace and prosperity.
Adding, the ministry said the visit represented another milestone in the deepening relationship between Algeria and Eswatini, paving the way for enhanced cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
