AFTER a three-year break from releasing music, gospel giant Sipho Makhabane is set to release a new album titled Jesu Ung'holele Edwaleni.
It gets better as the album will be released on the first week of February.
The gospel powerhouse said the album promised to bring fresh melodies to an eager audience.
To whet fans’ appetite, Makhabane shared a snippet of the album on his Facebook page, which has already amassed over 257 000 views within just a few days, accompanied by an outpour of positive feedback from his supporters.
“I have been receiving numerous calls from people asking when I would release a new album, hence I decided to start off the year by giving my supporters what they have been longing for,” he said.
The upcoming album according to Makhabane would feature collaborations with other notable gospel artists, including Omega and Blessings from Zimbabwe.
Additionally, Makhabane expressed his excitement about working with the legendary Ladysmith Black Mambazo.
“I have been working with some incredible talents and I'm excited for what's to come,” he said.
Makhabane also shared the personal inspiration behind his 12-track album, reflecting on the hardships he has faced throughout his three-decade career in the music industry.
“I have been through a lot. In the past 30 years, I have seen and experienced so much. Through this album, I am asking God to keep me under His wing.
“For when I am beside Him, I cannot hear the noise from the world or the discouragement from people," he explained.
Fans can expect a heartfelt collection of praise and worship songs that Makhabane believes will resonate deeply with their spiritual journeys.
“My supporters can anticipate a beautiful album, and I urge them to be on the lookout for the release dates,” he said.
In an exciting twist, Makhabane announced that physical copies of the album would be available for purchase.
He plans to distribute CDs and even give them away to lucky fans during his performances.
“I want to connect with my fans and share this journey with them. With this new album on the horizon, I am ready to make waves once again in the gospel music scene.
My fans are encouraged to stay tuned for the releases and prepare for an uplifting musical experience,” he said.
