SOCCER - CAPITAL city side Mbabane Swallows pair of striker Ayanda Gadlela and defender Siphosethu Mabilisa have joined Nsingizini Hotspurs.
This comes after the Shiselweni-based outfit and the ‘Beautiful Birds’ reached an agreement over the transfer of the players.
A source close to the matter revealed that the two players were expected to start training with their new team yesterday.
“Nsingizini Hotspurs and Mbabane Swallows have agreed terms over the transfer of both Ayanda Gadlela and Siphosethu Mabilisa. Gadlela is already in Hluti while Mabilisa will follow later this week.”
The two players become Nsingizini’s first signings since the January transfer window opened.
The source said the team would also add one or two more players before the transfer window closes.
Nsingizini Hotspurs CEO Banele Ngobe confirmed the arrival of the players in their camp.
Both players have had stints with the national team Sihlangu Semnikati.
“We are looking forward to the players’ contribution to the team. They are both quality players who have played for the national team. We believe they will add value to Nsingizini Hotspurs, especially at the back and upfront.”
Ngobe welcomed the players to the team.
“On behalf of the team, we welcome the players and hope they will enjoy playing for this wonderful team.
“We certainly hope the supporters will be happy with our new recruits as they are good players. We trust that they will have a good time and help bring happiness to our fans by helping the team perform well and win trophies.
“The duo will add further quality and experience to the squad we have assembled.”
