HANDS OFF MY NEW WIFE, WARNS ‘MAJOR V’

By Musa Simelane | 2025-01-04

Prophet Vusumuzi ‘Major V’ Dlamini has issued a stern warning to crazy and overly excited people to stay away from his new wife.

The charismatic leader of Mountain of Salvation Christian Church in Matsapha, who is also known for his boisterous personality, especially on social media circles, made it clear that his public demeanour should not be associated with his wife.

Dlamini wed Nolwazi Mhlanga last weekend, a few months after he divorced his previous wife Simangele Hlophe.

He told this newspaper that he felt the need to protect his new wife from elements that sought to disrupt and intrude in their marriage.

He said, “akuphashelwa la (no madness here), and such people should not come near my wife.
People who know me as boisterous should not cross the line with my wife, otherwise ngitobashaya ngemphama (I will slap them).”

True to form, while in an interview with this journalist over the phone, there was a pause for a few seconds as the prophet was overheard wadding off a fan who came too close to his wife and did not like it.

He vehemently rebuked the male fan and told him to stay away and not even touch her.
“Respect my wife,” he stressed.

Meanwhile, reflecting on the year 2024, the prophet said it was a great year indeed as he received blessings he has never experienced in his life before.

He was awed by the fact that His Majesty King Mswati III appointed him as a member to the Liqoqo (King’s Advisory Council).

“It is great to be loved by His Majesty. I also serve an amazing God indeed because he took me from my humble life and lifted me up,” stated Dlamini.

Appointment
Not long after his appointment, which he said in his social media posts was a turning point of his finances as well, he purchased a brand new vehicle from one of the dealerships in Mbabane which he also made a public thing.

He made a number of utterances on social media regarding his new status as His Majesty’s advisor and how grateful he was for being entrusted with such a distinguished role in society. The prophet is renowned for his big persona and antics on social media circles, some of which have most often raised some eyebrows.

After some of the prophet’s rants on social media where his approach is usually a ‘no holds barred’, Liqoqo Chairman Paul Dlamini stated that the council was repeatedly, quietly and gently reaching out to the prophet to remind him that he was now a member of a respectable and highly esteemed body.

His penchant for fully expressing himself verbally on social media at times led him to utter words or statements, which others would consider unpalatable, especially for a man of his stature.

And this was noted by the council. The Liqoqo Council chairman, when approached about this at that time said: “we are talking to him.”

The chairman said they had never had a member, who had such quite a public profile before.
He said the Council, too, had a code of behaviour that it adhered to since it represented a higher authority.

Liqoqo prays for
prophet’s 2nd marriage

Liqoqo Chairman Paul Dlamini, has said the King’s Advisory Council is praying that God helps one of its own, Prophet Vusumuzi ‘Major V’ Dlamini, in his new marriage.

The chairman congratulated the prophet on his new wedding to Nolwazi Mhlanga over the past weekend.

Speaking on this significant union, he emphasised the council’s shared joy and offered prayers for blessings, peace and prosperity in the marriage.

The prophet is on his second marriage after going separate ways with Simangele Hlophe a few months ago.

Liqoqo is an advisory council whose members are appointed by Ingwenyama (King Mswati III) from the membership of bantfwabenkhosi (Emalangeni), tikhulu (chiefs) and persons who have distinguished themselves in the service of the Nation.

Where necessary the members of Liqoqo may be appointed by the Indlovukazi as Queen Regent.
Liqoqo traditionally advises Ingwenyama on disputes in connection with the selection of chiefs, the borders of chiefdoms and any other matter Ingwenyama may assign for their advice in confidence.

A member of Liqoqo shall hold office for a period not exceeding five years and shall be eligible for re-appointment, and shall vacate office where the member dies; resigns; or is removed from office by Ingwenyama or Indlovukazi as Queen Regent.
