Thousands of Ingaja from all regions of the country gathered at Ngabezweni Royal Residence, awaiting His Majesty the King’s commissioning to cut the sacred shrub, Lusekwane, today.
The king commissioned the Ingaja from Hhohho on Friday to join Ngabezweni regiment.
They began arriving as early as 1:00 pm, with some being ferried by buses and trucks, while others used their own transportation.
The Libutfo from KaHhohho reached Ngabezweni around 6:00pm, braving the rain showers that poured in the afternoon as they awaited His Majesty to join them.
The gathering of the Ingaja not only saw a high turnout but also opened business opportunities for many vendors, who started flocking to the royal residence gates as early as 11:00 am, selling food, clothing, and imiboyi.

The day was filled with many Ingaja congregating at Tihonco to undergo kubutseka, where they received instructions to follow as a regiment.
His Majesty is expected to commission the Ingaja today for the cutting of Lusekwane, which will require them to cover a distance of about 50 km on foot to Esikhaleni.
The Ingaja will make their way back on tomorrow morning and present their Lusekwane in front of His Majesty.
