FAITH APOSTOLIC CHURCH OF GOD IN ZION LEADER NOW A PROFESSOR

By NOKUZOLA THWALA | 2024-11-14

THE Faith Apostolic Church of God in Zion leader Archbishop Ntokozo ‘Sphahluka’ Sibandze, has been conferred with professorship.

He is now Archbishop Professor Siphahluka Sibandze. In an all night service held at the church’s headquarters at Ntjabane in Mankayane on Sunday, where he also celebrated his 36th birthday, Sibandze was announced as a professor of his church, having completed the Professor of Philosophy in Christian Theology.

In the same service, different support churches and friends showered Sibandze with over E400 000 cash, while some presented livestock, blankets, utensils and many other items.

He said the cash would go a long way in his church operations.

These included Temple of Praise, Gwamile Apostolic Church, Enkosini Church in Zion, Prayers Christ Church in Zion, St Joseph’s Church in Zion (Sibusisweni) and more. Impumelelo Yamabandla Theological Centre Chancellor Chief Archbishop Professor Fanos Mnumzane Nkosi, announced that from then onwards, Sibandze would be referred to Archbishop Professor Ntokozo ‘Sphahluka’ Sibandze.

He clarified that in a country there could be one chief archbishop professor and in Eswatini it is the League of African Churches President Samson Hlatjwako.

Meanwhile, Bishop Professor Solomon Thobela urged the Christian fraternity, especially the leaders to upgrade themselves through education, adding that gifts have to be enhanced by education.

He said their institution had courses where church leaders were equipped and empowered so that they become more in line with the present times  because having a gift alone does not work, it should go hand in hand with education.

“Everything needs to be meticulously planned if you lead people. Even the leadership skills are empowered hence the call for leaders to equip themselves through education,” he said.

In a jovial mood, Sibandze received his cap and certificate kneeling in front of Nkosi. He appreciated the support from the congregants of his 11 branches, other churches and the theological centre for noting his hard work. He further stated that it felt great to be acknowledged and thanked while still alive.

“It feels great to have people who appreciate your hard work, while you are still alive. I am also happy to be able to assist people from all corners of the world through my gift of prophecy and healing that helped conceive the church,” he added.
