ALL THAT JAZZ SHOW TO FUNDRAISE FOR SISONKHE KOLLEKTIV

By Tanele Sihlongonyane | 2024-10-16

THE third edition of the show dubbed ‘All That Jazz’ will not only be a showcase of musical prowess but is aimed at raising funds for Sisonkhe Kollektiv to record their debut album.

This was revealed by Into Music Society and jazz Gallery Director Nelisa Lawton yesterday. Scheduled for October 25 at the prestigious British High Commission residence, the jazz concert promises an unforgettable experience where the ensemble will showcase the astonishing talents of 18 members on stage.

Lawton said preparations for the big concert were well underway as musicians have been working tirelessly to ensure that every detail is perfected for the show. “His Excellency, Colin Wells, is very much excited to host us, at his residence. Having done two shows at the residence, we as Into Music Society and the team at the British High Commission are familiar with what needs to be done, so that is all in order. The musicians are preparing themselves individually, and we have our rehearsal over the weekend,” she said. Lawton said the audience will be treated to really good music and further highlighted that Sisonkhe Kollektiv always ensures to deliver whenever they perform. “This particular concert is titled ‘All That Jazz@ The Residence’ which means that it will not only be jazz, but will include opera, soft rock, rnb and spoken word as well. The audience can expect the usual excellence from Sisonkhe Kollektiv,” she said. Having recently hosted the second Thursdays event, Lawton said their French themed second Thursdays was amazing. “It fulfilled one of the objectives of Sisonkhe Kollektiv, which is to celebrate the diversity of the 21 members.

Luluzy (Lucie Ganachaud) is French, so the repertoire included French, Swati and English songs. It was amazing to hear her singing in Siswati, KRTC and Msimisi singing in French,” she said. She further said the audience loved the performances and insisted on an encore at the end. “As always, we boast of and are thankful for having the most amazing audience. They are appreciative and respectful of the musicians.

I am deeply grateful and so are the musicians,” she said. Lawton further said tickets for the ‘All Jazz’ concert were on sale and retailing for E400 via MOMO and Ewallet on the number 76032897. “The tickets for the concert are available and there will be none sold at the door, so we urge people to get theirs soon as per poster,” she concluded.
