SOCCER - Former Usushwana Rhinos and Mbabane Dribbling Wizard player Matthews Chanda Kabasa has passed away.

The Zambian-born international player succumbed to an undisclosed illness last weekend.
The late Kabasa played for the two defunct premier league outfits in the early 90s and had been residing at Mvutjini where he was a businessman.

Revealing the sad news was the deceaseds sister in law Dudu Dlamini who confirmed that the legend was no more when contacted yesterday.
“It’s true that Kabasa has passed away and he will be cremated tomorrow morning (today) at the Dups chapel,” she said.

The 58-year-old former footballer also served as a brand ambassador for Zambian giants Zesco United during his stay in the country.

He is the fourth member of the football fraternity to pass on recently after Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) executive member Sipho 'Tsetla' Bhembe, former Denver Sundowns defender Sandile Dlamini and Hhohho Regional Football Association (HRFA) official Boy Sithole, among others.
