THREE more people have tested positive to COVID-19.
Minister of Health Lizzie Nkosi announced the latest developments yesterday.
In a press statement, Nkosi said the ministry received 74 COVID-19 test results and 71 tested negative.
The three COVID-19 cases are of a 43-year-old and 29-year-old women who have a history of travelling to South Africa, the Gauteng Province to be specific.
The last one is of a 24-year-old woman who has a history of travelling to KwaZulu/Natal. The minister reported that all the three women are clinically stable.
Nkosi started that upon receiving the test results, the ministry immediately stated tracing who had been in contact with them so that they can be tested for the coronavirus.
“Treatment and isolation has been initiated on all patients,” she stated.
Meanwhile, the first COVID-19 patient last Friday tested negative and government was to conduct the second tests.
If the results remain negative, the patients would to be considered for from the Lubombo Referral Hospital.
Meanwhile, South Africa recorded 927 cases of COVID-19.
LOCKDOWN TODAY
Acting Government Spokesperson Sabelo Dlamini has clarified that the partial lockdown announced by Prime Minister Ambrose Mandvulo Dlamini on Tuesday was actually effected from midnight.
This means as of today people should start implementing all the rules that were stipulated by the King in a statement issued by the prime minister.
“As of tomorrow (today) gatherings are limited to 20 people. Bars are not supposed to operate while bottle stores will open from 11 am to 6 pm,” it is stated.
