KING OFF TO UN

HIS Majesty King Mswati III left for Argentina yesterday morning for a United Nations General Assembly South-South  Cooperation Summit.

He was accompanied by Inkhosikati LaMbikiza.

Emakhosikati braved the early morning breeze to see the King off, where King’s Office Chief Executive (CE) Chief Mgwagwa Gamedze, King’s Office Legal Advisor Ntsika Fakudze, His Majesty’s Private Secretary Sihle Dlamini, Praise Singer Sandile Nxumalo and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Thuli Dladla formed part of the King’s delegation.

Members of the royal family who formed part of the delegation were Emazinyane Majaha, Sicalo, Lindani, Sibahle and Minister of Information, Communications and Technology  Princess Sikhanyiso. 

It was 6am when the King jetted out of the country for Buenos  Aires in Argentina to attend the United Nations General Assembly South-South  Cooperation Summit starting today till Friday. Essentially this summit entails encouraging developing countries to exchange and maintain economic relations and promoting investments amongst themselves.

This is referred to as Buenos Aires Plan of Action for Promoting and Implementing Technical Cooperation among Developing Countries (BAPA).

In addition, the head of state will then move to Bariloche, another city within Argentina, to create, identify opportunities as well as challenges and strengthen relations with other countries which are still developing and are members of the South-South Cooperation.

Prime Minister Ambrose Dlamini and some of his Cabinet ministers Princess Lindiwe, Pholile Shakantu, Lady Howard Mabuza, Chief Ndlaluhlaza Ndwandwe, Harries ‘Madze’ Bulunga, Christian Ntshangase, David ‘Cruiser’ Ngcamphalala, Dr.Tambo Gina, Moses Vilakati, Jabulani Mabuza, Neal Rijkerberg and Peter Bhembe also bade the king farewell.

Prince Masitsela, Prince Sibhimbi, Prince Magudvulela and Prince Mlayeto, former DPM Paul Dlamini and more were also at the airport.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation’s Principal Secretary Joel Nhleko said that His Majesty was expected back in the country on March 28.
