PRESIDENT NYUSI HAILS HIS MAJESTY FOR DEVELOPMENT IN THE COUNTRY

Mozambique President Filipe Nyusi has hailed His Majesty King Mswati III for the wise leadership which has seen the country develop drastically over the years of his reign.

He said the country is constantly growing its infrastructure which is a positive sign for development, noting that all this was because the country was blessed with a wise leader in King Mswati.

He said he has been in the country many times but each time he visits, he realise a lot of changes in the infrastructure.

He also commended the King for the vision of developing the country to a first world status, noting that Mozambique would play its role as neighbours to ensure that they support the country in realising its goal.

He said one of the key areas that his country would assist in was the supply of power, something which he said was key in every development. The president also hailed the King and the people of Eswatini for ‘hosting’ Mozambican nationals during the difficult time of civil war in Mozambique.

 

He said the people of Eswatini showed a true spirit of neighbourhood by helping when they needed the most.

President Nyusi also hailed the country for keeping cultural heritage, noting that he has been monitoring with keen interest the movement of locals going to Mozambique for cultural and traditional activities citing the Bemanti who usually go to Mozambique, ahead of Incwala ceremony.

President Nyusi also said in their talks with the King, they highlighted the issue of the usage of the rail line between the two countries, emphasising that the seaport in Mozambique must be put to good use for the movement of goods and services through the rail line.

 

He said there is also need to improve trade between the two countries to ensure that they ease regulations that hinder trade between the two nations.
