By Nonduduzo Kunene | 2018-12-11

ESWATINI Motor Vehicle Accident fund (SMVAF) internal auditor Sifiso Ndaba was found dead at Sigombeni while his car was later found burnt at Ludzeludze.

According to a source closer to the matter, it is alleged that Ndaba was from an evening church service on Saturday when he noticed that his house had been broken into.

“When he returned, he noticed that his house was broken into. When he got to the house, the killers were inside waiting for him,” said the source. It is said that the suspects then took him hostage at his home located at Mpolonjeni in Mbabane.  No one knows the reason behind the brutal killing of Ndaba.  His body was found by police at Sigombeni badly burnt and his car burnt as well at Ludzeludze. Sigombeni and Ludzeludze are not very far apart and are in the  Manzini region.

Amongst the suspects in police custody is his former garden boy, who is a Mozambican national. “It is very much surprising- that among those who are in police custody is his former garden boy,” said the source.

Chief Police Information and Communications Officer Superintendent Phindile Vilakati confirmed reports of the SMVAF internal auditor who was kidnapped then later killed and burnt. Supt. Vilakati added that his body was found burnt at Sigombeni. She said Ndaba’s car was also found by Matsapha police at Ludzeludze. “Manzini and Matsapha police arrested three suspects in relation to the crime in question yesterday. It is not yet confirmed the motive behind the killing, the suspects are currently investigated.  He was first reported missing, then we found him dead,” she said. She also confirmed that Manzini police arrested three suspects, who were now in police custody undergoing investigation.
