MZUTHINI EXPECTS TROPHY FROM G MAMBA THIS SEASON

By Qondile Ntiwane | 2018-12-07

SOCCER – GREEN Mamba President Isaiah Mzuthini Ntshangase is expecting his charges to deliver at least one trophy this season.

The His Majesty Correctional Services commissioner general said winning the MTN Premier League first round E350 000 incentive was a great achievement by the team.

“I just can’t stop smiling, especially because we have never done such in the team and I am really proud of the boys. I just hope they will continue showing the teams what they are made off even in the second round because it is still not over.

“We haven’t won a trophy in a while and I have told them to bring at least one trophy this season,” he said.

Ntshangase added that the players would get something from the incentive.

“I am not one to gain from another man’s toils. The boys need to continue working hard but they will definitely get something for their achievement,” he said. Coming to their league clash against Royal Leopard at the Killarney Sports Ground this weekend, the ComGen urged the team to give it their best shot.

“We haven’t won the league as yet so they need to take this game seriously. We need to collect the maximum points in order to increase our chances of lifting the trophy at the end of the season,” he said.

The green and white side is currently at the summit of the log with 30 points in 12 games played.
