ESWATINI FASHION WEEK A SUCCESS

By Ayanda Dlamini | 2018-11-20

THE first ever Eswatini Fashion Week (EFW) was a success.

Fashion enthusiasts came in numbers to see the stylish garments made by different designers.

Held at The Mall last Saturday, the collection was colourful and meant for movement, with sporty touches such as knits and sleeveless dresses with flashes of perforated fabric.  Basically, the collection was filled with contrasting elements: hard and soft, chunky and delicate, tailored and fluid.

Speaking to the brains behind EFW Mancoba Msibi, he thanked the designers for pulling through and making the show a success.

Challenges

“We know we had challenges there and there but are overall glad that the show took shape and everything then went well. To our beautiful designers and models, thank you so much for cooperating with us and making this show a big success. We appreciate the effort, and energy you gave in and thank you for be-lieving in your own designers and models,” he stated.

He said he was impressed with the number of attendees and was looking forward to hosting the second instalment of the fashion show next year. “The turn up was actually a good one and especially because this was our first offer as EFW. We were honestly honoured and happy to see such a turn up.

“This is our stepping stone to more fashion shows. The crowd was amazing, well behaved and cooperative throughout the show. This is evident enough that we have a future in the fashion industry,” he added.
