SOCCER – YOUNG Buffaloes mentor Dominic Kunene is happy his side is back to winning ways.
The mentor said this during his post-match comments after his side won 2 – 0 against Manzini Sea Birds in their MTN Premier League encounter played at the Mavuso Sports Centre on Saturday.
“I am very happy with the fact that we are back to winning ways. This will motivate the boys going forward. We are coming from a rather slow start to the league and we needed this. I think we have picked ourselves up and are now clear with our intentions going forward.”
Coming to the match, the coach said its never easy playing against Sundowns.
“They came at us with everything they had, but we stood our ground and made sure we were clinical in front of goal too,” he said.
Meanwhile, his Manzini Sundowns counterpart Charles Manda said he believed his side’s major downfall was missing two chances in the first half.
“We missed the chances we got and in a football match, if you miss - especially against a good team such as Young Buffaloes, you get punished. We will get back to the drawing board, pick ourselves up and get back,’ he said.
