SOCCER - MANZINI Wanderers have all the reason to believe they can beat Young Buffaloes in the SwaziBank Cup final considering the recent good record the Weslians have over their opponents.
The two sides will face off in the final on April 29 with Buffaloes looking to become the second side after Mbabane Highlanders to successfully defend the SwaziBank Cup title.
Buffaloes are unbeaten in the SwaziBank Cup since April 2016 when they were beaten 2-0 by Green Mamba in the quater-finals of that year’s edition.
This means Buffaloes are unbeaten in nine SwaziBank Cup matches, making them slight favourites ahead of this month’s final. Despite this record, Wanderers have dominated Buffaloes in recent times and will believe they can beat the army side to the SwaziBank Cup title later this month.
In the last four meetings between the two sides, all in the MTN Premier League, Wanderers have won twice while the other two matches have ended in stalemates. The Weslians won the last clash between the two sides 1- 0 back in December.
