MDURA TO MC NON-VALENTINE’S DAY EVENT AT HAPPY VALLEY

By Nomfundo Sifundza | 2018-02-14

INTERNATIONALLY acclaimed comedian Mdura will be the Master of Ceremonies (MC) at Happy Valley Hotel’s non-Valentine’s Day celebration.

The first of its kind show will be on Friday and singletons are expected to converge at the hotel, with the hope of finding a significant other.

The comedian is not new to corporate gigs as he has been engaged at a number of functions since rising to fame. Happy Valley Marketing Coordinator Noxolo Nkabinde said the aim was to make the event as fun as possible for singletons who may have not had the chance to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

“The main aim of the event is to have fun. As promised, laughter, good music, good food and networking will be the order of the day. We believe Mdura is the right person to co-ordinate such an event,” she said.

The comedian is an addition to an already fun packed line up which includes a performance by established afro soul artist Floewe, a talk by Pastor Bakhe Dlamini, as well as karaoke.

Nkabinde added that there would be a song list comprising of 300 songs to choose from for the karaoke. The event will be hosted at the hotel on Friday, starting at 6.30pm. She further encouraged people to book their space by contacting the hotel as early as possible since there are limited spaces available and will be sold on a first come first serve basis. Tickets to the event cost E250 per person which includes dinner.

Meanwhile, the hotel will also cater for lovebirds today as they will be hosting the usual Valentine’s dinner set to feature local musician Gabriel Dlamini, commonly known as Gabs, who will be serenading lovers. The dinner costs E350 per person and E600 for a couple.
