SOCCER – It is a do or die clash as Royal Leopard and Moneni Pirates contest in the 2025 Ingwenyama Cup final this afternoon at Somhlolo National Stadium.
It will be the first time they clash in a decider since the competition was played in 2016, with E1.4 Million at stake and a ticket to Africa.
In the last six outings across all competitions, history favour Royal Leopard against the black and white outfit as they have recorded five wins. This could set the tone for what could be another successful outing who has reached the finals twice.
Their experience coupled with the recent form makes them favorites going to this encounter.
Moneni Pirates will be making their maiden appearance in the final.
Lost
The ‘Sea Robbers’ last won a trophy in 2015 , the EswatiniBank Cup under the guidance of co-coaches Happy ‘Messiah’ Mfukwe and Zenzele ‘Ace’ Dlamini.
The black and white outfit defeated Manzini Wanderers 2-0.
As the nation descends to Somhlolo Stadium, it will remain to be seen this afternoon if the ‘dry bones’ will come alive.
The tournament is expected to draw large supporters even outside the country.
