Sources close to the Ingwenyama Cup final’s preparations confirmed that Sono will be in attendance, with the exciting possibility that another South African football great, Lucas Radebe, might also make an appearance.

“We have a special guest coming. Jomo Sono has confirmed his attendance, and there is a possibility that Lucas Radebe might also join him. This tournament continues to grow bigger and better with each edition,” shared a source from the SMVA Fund.
SMVAF Communications Officer Makhosi Magongo was equally thrilled, emphasising the significance of Sono’s visit.

“Yes, Jomo is coming. This is someone who has contributed immensely to the development of football in South Africa; he is an icon,” he said.

His presence at the Ingwenyama Cup final is expected to add prestige to what is already a thrilling spectacle, reinforcing the tournament’s status as a major fixture in Eswatini’s football calendar.

As the final whistle draws closer, all eyes will be glued to the Somhlolo National Stadium, where history is set to be made both on and off the pitch. With the Ingwenyama Cup final being one of Eswatini’s most prestigious football events, its international broadcast via SuperSport is expected to elevate the tournament’s status even further, ensuring that fans from across the continent witness the exciting spectacle.
