By Xolisile Sacolo | 2025-03-26

FOOTBALL fans are in for a thrilling weekend as the Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) has confirmed an exciting double header at Mavuso Sports Centre on Saturday.

It features a highly-anticipated clash between Capital city giants Mbabane Highlanders and Sisonkhe, set to reignite tensions following their preseason encounters.

According to the fixture released by PLE Football Manager Banele ‘Dingz’ Masondo yesterday, the other match will see Moneni Pirates go head-to-head with Young Buffaloes. Fans are expected to witness a display of high-intensity football as the teams battle for crucial points in the league standings.

Mbabane Highlanders will be looking to settle the score against Sisonkhe after the latter emerged victorious in their first preseason encounter. With both teams eager to prove their dominance, the match promises to be a fiercely contested showdown.

Meanwhile, in another fixture of the day, second-placed Green Mamba will travel to Mhlume Stadium for a challenging encounter against Mbabane Swallows. Green Mamba will be looking to avenge their first round defeat to the capital city giants.

Additionally, Shiselweni-based side Nsingizini Hotspurs will take on Illovo at Mkhuzweni Technical Centre. Log leaders Royal Leopard will face off against Ezulwini United at Simunye Stadium as they seek to maintain their grip at the top of the MTN Premier League standings.
