Their Majesties, King Mswati III and Indlovukazi have pleaded for peace and harmony within the Shongwe family following the passing of Bishop Nash Shongwe.
Their Majesties also passed their heartfelt condolences to the Shongwe family, the Devine Healing Ministries and the country at large for the passing of a visionary and spiritual leader.
Thousands of mourners flocked the Shongwe homestead to pay their last respects before he was laid in his final resting place.
Speaking on behalf of Their Majesties, Archbishop Vukani Myeni revealed that Their Majesties noted that Shongwe was a true visionary, who was compassionate and caring as well as charismatic.
He said during the recent Lozitha Church Services, normally held at the beginning and the end of the year, His Majesty King Mswati III repeatedly asked for a gift of peace from Emaswati.
He was also directed by their Majesties to plead for peace within the Shongwe family following the passing of the bishop.
Myeni was relaying the message from Their Majesties during the late bishop’s funeral held at his home, Ekutsimuleni yesterday morning.
He said the King has on a number of occasions relayed that he was pleased when there was peace and harmony in the country as well as among families.
He said in order for peace to prevail within the Shongwe family, they had to choose God the Almighty instead of materialistic things.
“I heard during the memorial service that Shongwe was successful in life because he chose the Lord instead of materialistic things,” he said.
Adding, Myeni urged the Shongwe family on behalf of Their Majesties to seek solace in God, who would comfort them during trying times.
He further mentioned that Their Majesties pleaded for peace within the Divine Healing Ministries International congregants now that their founder and leader was with the lord.
He said Their Majesties were tired of hearing and reading about infighting within churches especially when their leaders passed and said this should stop.
“Their Majesties pray that there should be peace within the Shongwe family as well as the church,” he said.
He also mentioned that their Majesties were hopeful that there would be peace within the family and church now that the leader and founder of the church had passed on.
On his personal capacity, Myeni said he was saddened by the passing of his friend and brother in Christ who was an inspiration not only to him but the nation at large.
