FROM SOWETO FASHION WEEK TO A BILLBOARD IN NELSPRUIT

NONTSETSELELO Mayisela has been making an impact in the fashion world and her recent appearance on a Phakama Mpumalanga Festival billboard in Nelspruit, Mbomela, highlights the success of her multifaceted career.

Being one of the models on the billboard in Nelspruit, according to her is as a symbol of this growth, reminding her of how far she has come.

“It’s a huge moment for me, but I know it’s just one step in what will be a long and fulfiling career,” she said.

Early this year, she showcased her talent on one of Africa’s most prestigious stages—Soweto Fashion Week. This opportunity not only gave her a chance to walk alongside industry elites but also solidified her position in the competitive fashion scene.

Strutting  her stuff  Soweto Fashion Week was a significant achievement for her as it marked a new chapter in her career, giving her the chance to work with top designers and gain visibility on a larger scale.

Skillfully
In addition to modelling, Mayisela  is a certified make-up artist, skilfully blending both passions to create unique looks for photo shoots and runways.

“Make-up and fashion are both ways of telling stories. They allow me to transform, whether it’s for a photo or the runway,” she explained.

Her ability to seamlessly combine these art forms has set her apart, making her a sought-after talent in both fields.

Reflecting on her journey,  Mayisela shared how the path to success was not always easy.
“Growing up, I faced many challenges, but I used them as motivation. The journey has taught me that hard work and persistence always pay off,” she said.

Despite her success, she remains humble, using her platform to inspire others, particularly young people from Eswatini. “I want to show others that with determination and passion anything is possible,” she said.

Confident that the future holds even greater opportunities in both the fashion and beauty industries, Mayisela said she was eager to continue pushing boundaries in her artistry.
