MISS Eswatini title sponsor Oukitel Eswatini has announced the addition of the E50 000.00 cash prize for the winning queen
This was confirmed by Oukitel Eswatini through their Facebook social media page by Marketing Executive Esihle Felicity Dlamini.
Oukitel Eswatini was given permission to be director of the Miss Eswatini Pageant on April 16 by the Eswatini Pageants Chairperson Sandra Ismail. “The Miss Eswatini 2024 pageant winner will not only be getting a car but will also receive a E50 000 cash prize,” she shared.
The prize money comes after their announced the grand prize of a BMW i3.
“We are happy to announce that this year’s Miss Eswatini 2024 pageant winner will walk away with a brand new BMW i3 fully electric car,” reads part of the statement that was released last month on Facebook.
Ensuring that the Miss Eswatini 2024 queen can enjoy worry-free driving, the BMW i3 will include an Oukitel Portable Power Station.
This innovative charging solution harnesses solar energy to keep the BMW i3 powered up, eliminating concerns about rising petrol prices while providing a clean and renewable energy source for the vehicle.
Amongst other prizes offered includes skin care hampers for the top 10 participants in this year’s pageant.
The official winner is set to receive a featured photo shoot with Portia M, free skin products, a C38 smartphone, OT8 tablet and a smart watch, along with the position of brand ambassador for the gadget company during her reign.
Those who make it to the top 10 stage will also receive C38 smartphones, while top 3 participants are set to additionally receive a smart watch, similar to the crowned queen. Previous winners of Miss Eswatini have won scholarships, prize money and The Miss Eswatini 2024 is currently in the application stage, with Eswatini Pageants and Oukitel inviting interested young women to apply before July 31.
“Those interested in applying are advised to make sure that between the ages of 18 to 24, have completed high school and are of Eswatini nationality. Applicants must provide quality passport photo alongside a full body picture, a certified copy of their birth certificate, state their home region, as well as a proof of payment of E200.00 only,” the company shared.
The reigning queen Shanice Mamba took over from Tania Nunn who left the country to pursue her tertiary qualification abroad.
Mamba has been active in charity work, while partnering with establishments such as Pick and Pay Clothing for marketing campaigns.
Mamba has repeatedly shared her commitment to her title as well as her desire to see the platform develop.
“I am committed to my role as Miss Eswatini. I would love to see the industry grow, and real work opportunities become available for the Swati community. It would also be great to participate in international pageants and showcase our people on global stages. Hopefully I will be able to influence young people, even after my reign is complete,” Miss Eswatini stated.
