UNCLE WAFFLES RETURNS FOR ‘POP SUNDAY’

INTERNATIONAL superstar Uncle Waffles will handls the next edition of ‘Pop Sunday’ on May 26 at The Albert Millin.

 The show themed ‘Dragons Den’  will be Uncle Waffles’ second edition at the same venue.

For the show to take place, Deck Life collaborated with popular South African media agency KreativeKorner and Uncle Waffles.

Dragons Den is a celebration and an event put together by media personality and international performing DJ Uncle Waffles.

This event made its debut in 2022, where the sensational DJ went from viral video to international superstar in just a matter of months.

She is now looking at sharing her success with the people of Eswatini.

 The vision for the event, according to the superstar, is to be a platform to unearth talent and ‘multiply the blessings’ to other creatives and entertainers.

Tickets to the show are available through the Deck Life website and at the Albert Millin for those who prefer physical tickets compared to digital.

The show will include games, activities and different cusines.

The Wadibusa hit maker’s meteoric rise and journey to superstar has been aspirating.

Less than three years into her career, she has dropped a trilogy of projects and performed on the world’s biggest stages.

Her star-studded track ‘Yahyuppiyah’, the lead single to her sophomore EP, Asylum, has proven her dedication to constantly putting out quality work and how she translates.

The 24-year-old DJ is fresh from playing at a packed outdoor House of Yanos in Bluoasis, Dubai.

 Her breath-taking performance was echoed by the crowd whilst fireworks were on display, creating an atmosphere of pure euphoria.

The multi-platinum international DJ-producer unveiled her first single of the year about two weeks ago, titled Wadibusa.

 Featuring Royal MusiQ, Ohp Sage, PCEE, and Djy Biza, the track marks Waffles’ return to the upbeat dance rhythms that propelled her to stardom.

Fans have been eagerly awaiting   the release, following teasers shared weekly across Uncle Waffles’ social media platforms.

Gradually

 Wadibusa kicks off with traditional Amapiano sounds, gradually building into a blend of euphoric beats and captivating vocals. Waffles’ signature tribal rhythms create a dynamic melody featuring drums, cymbals, and subtle reverbs.

Uncle Waffles has gained a significant amount of popularity and fame as she has tallied over 50 000 videos and 40 million views on Tik-Tok. On YouTube, on the other hand, her videos have amassed over 750 000 views.

Uncle Waffles further disclosed that her album had been featured in playlists on various digital streaming platforms such as Audiomack, Spotify, Tidal, YouTube Music, and Apple Music.

Since her trailblazing rise in the music industry, she has since toured various cities in America and Europe. She had previously been co-signed by major artists such as Drake.

Her biggest international nod came in the form of the BET Awards 2023 nomination.

The award was eventually won by Burna Boy to which the artist shared a message of congratulations. Recently, she was the cover girl of the international publication, Galore Magazine.
