MAWHOO PACKS SOLANI’S SHISANYAMA

SOUTH Africa’s amapiano sensation Mawhoo heated up Solani’s Shisanyama with her performance on Saturday.

With an enticing line-up of female DJs, live performance and a breath-taking display of fireworks, the show created an atmosphere of pure euphoria.

The line-up was jam packed with local talented female deejays who ensured to keep the night alive.

DJ Ash gave the crowd a piece of her soul with the remarkable tunes she played for about an hour.

She  said the show definitely met her expectations.
“The turnout was amazing, the ladies brought their A game and it was just an all round amazing night,” she said.  Amapiano DJ, The Prefect, took to the stage just after 10pm and kept the groovy momentum going. 

DJ Lady Zee was a marvel to watch as she also kept the crowd dancing with amapiano tunes.
“The show met my expectations and beyond my imagination,” she said. The talented DJ further shared her plans for the year and hinted that there was a possibility of her releasing new music.

“ Growing my brand is part of my plans for this year. I might also release music,” she said.
The technical issues experiencedcould not prevent DJ Wassabee from delivering spectacular tunes as she ensured that hip hop lovers dance to her tunes.

“The show exceeded my expectations as I had a blast,” she said.
 The DJs held down the show from the evening until 1am, when the headliner Mawhoo took to the stage.

The amapiano star  received screams from patrons as soon as she set foot on stage.
The revellers could not contain their excitement when the musician entered the venue, as they quickly rushed near the stage to witness her live performance which lasted for about an hour.

The superstar performed quite a number of her hits namely; ‘Ngilimele’, ‘Nduma Ndumane’, ‘Thokoza’, ‘Kulula’, ‘Ngiyamthanda’, ‘Bambelela’, to name a few.

As she started performing her songs, the crowd went crazy and some were taking videos of her as she also displayed spectacular dance moves.

After her performance Belinda Chester, who is a talented DJ and content creator, took to the stage and delivered an amapiano set which lasted for an hour.
Renowned MC, Onicah kept the night alive with her captivating dance moves. Solani’s Brand and Marketing Manager Chantal Dlamini said their aim was to empower female DJs.

“In a male dominated industry, our aim is to empower female DJs in the country,” she said.
Dlamini further shared that she was happy as the show met her expectations. “City GilrsRUp was a great success today,” she said.

Asked what she would like the country’s arts industry to achieve this year, Dlamini said to see more women empowering initiatives across Eswatini.
