Tania Nunn was crowned Miss Eswatini 2022/2023 on Saturday at Sharma House, Ezulwini.
Her first runner-up is Shanice Mamba and her second princess is Fezile Mthupha .
The pageant had 10 hopefuls who were battling for the crown.

Even though the event started later than expected at around 7:33pm, the gala night opened with soul-soothing music from a local artist. The ladies got the opportunity of introducing themselves.
Judging by the cheering crowd, one could tell their favourites, the top 10 were wearing simple silky dresses.

The MC of the night was Mainstream. She also looked stylish in her spirit purple dress that had a lace inspired tutu skirt.

Before the top five were announced, the girls showed off their simple outfits, bikinis and their evening gowns.

Their dresses were made by local designers; they all walked down the ramp majestically, flaunting their beauty.

All the girls were awarded and the MC shared that their achievements were pre-judged. Vuyelwa Simelane was awarded for the most fit girl, Pamela Lukhele got the most photogenic award, Lindelwa Mabuza was the most voted for and Londeka Maziya was awarded for best personality.

The pageant had music and poetry only as part of entertainment. The top five were announced by the MC and these were Nunn, Fezile Mthupha, Shanice Mamba, Zandisile Howe and Nakita Bailey.
The five ladies got the opportunity of responding to questions posed by the judges.
The queen, Tania Nunn was asked on how best she could utilise the platform in helping the community.

Her response made the audience cheer on non-stop. She said she would lead by example and engage more with the public.

Zandisile Howe was asked on how best she could deal with a crisis. She said she always found a way of being calm and listening to solve a problem.

As soon as the five ladies were done with the session, the results came back and they first announced the second princess, Fezile Mthupha . The first princess award was given to Shanice Mamba and the crown was given to Tania Nunn.

She smiled and gracefully walked towards her chair.

In an interview with the queen, she said she was happy and proud of all the girls who participated.

When asked why she did not show any emotion, she said every contestant was a winner.
“To me everyone was a winner; we all deserved to win as we all qualified for the position. Unfortunately it had to be one,” she said.

Her grandfather Klaus Litchfield also expressed his excitement.

“Time flies, Tania was just a little girl now she is a woman with a big responsibility,” he said.
The night ended on a high note with people taking pictures and cheering. The event was supported by Viwas Driving School, Eswatini Sexual and Gender Minorities, Edgars, Pick n Pay and Lamelle.
