FNB ESWATINI TO HOST 2022 FNB AFRICA DAY CONCERT

By Ayanda Dlamini | 2022-05-23

FNB Eswatini will join the rest of Africa in celebrating Africa Day by live streaming the 2022 FNB Africa Day Concert on May 25.

In its second edition, this entertaining online event will be streamed live on FNB Eswatini’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.

This was revealed by the bank’s Chief Marketing Officer Zethu Dlamini yesterday.
The concert will also be broadcast on Eswatini TV. The concert will feature acts from Eswatini, Namibia, Ghana, Lesotho, and Botswana.

This year’s event celebrates Africa Day under the theme ‘I am Africa’ and it follows the successful inaugural concert hosted by FNB Namibia last year.

Ten artists from the five countries will set the stage ablaze with thrilling musical performances.
Dlamini said the theme of  the event is about being proudly African, and it was an affirmation of who we are, told through arts and culture. “We are excited to be hosting the Africa Day Concert this year.

The 2022 FNB Africa Day Concert honours just how bold, diverse and vibrant the African spirit that lives in all of us is. As

a brand in touch with its African heritage, the concert is our way of coming together with the rest of the continent to commemorate Africa Day and revel in our proud African heritage,” she said.

Dlamini added that the concert follows in the wake of a successful inaugural edition hosted by FNB Nambia in 2021 and  was open to both FNB customers and non-FNB customers and the bank’s strategic intent is anchored on the value of its Pan-African footprint, which has seen FNB subsidiaries in Namibia, Ghana, Lesotho, and Botswana collaborating to bring the concert to life across these countries.

Last year top Eswatini musos Sands and Velemseni delivered breath-taking live performances during the online event alongside  musicians from the  four countries. The concert drew many viewers to celebrate Africa Day together through the online event.

“As we gear up towards this virtual expression of sights, sounds and cultural expression of who we are as Africans, we will be revealing performers from the different countries and showcasing key attractions from each country to give audiences snippets in promotion of the concert,” Dlamini continued.

“We encourage Emaswati to like and follow the FNB Eswatini social media pages and look out for cool competitions with absolutely fabulous prizes that they can take home,” she added.
