‘I AM BACK!’

By Ayanda Dlamini | 2022-02-23

AWARD winning gospel artist Nothando Hlophe is back on stage and ready to perform for her fans. After a three-year break, ‘Khulul’ugcobo’ hit maker said she was excited to be back and ready to minister the word of God through her music.

She confirmed that she would be performing at ‘The Great Revival’ on March 3 at Mbabane Alliance. “I am back and ready to take my people to another level of praise and worship.

It has been a good break from the music as COVID-19 sabotaged the industry. Now that things are slowly but surely coming back to normality, I can safely come out and bless people with my music,” said the award winning artist.

Rich voice Hlophe is one of the best artists that Eswatini has ever seen. She has tapped into her rich voice which has gained her an extensive following. The number of views that her music video ‘Khulula Ugcobo’ and ‘Yebo’ recorded on YouTube have been viewed are an indication that her music is going to a higher level.

In 2019, she launched her album Live at the Soweto Theatre. She also collaborated with Woman In Praise and Zaza on her hit song ‘Khulul ‘ugcobo’. She said she would be accepting more gigs and later in the year, she would go back to the studio for new music.

The ‘Yebo’ hit maker proved that 2019 was her shining season in the music industry by scooping three awards at the third annual MTN SWAMA Awards in that year. Hlophe scooped awards in ‘Female Artist of the Year’, ‘Best Gospel Artist’ and ‘Song of the Year’.

Her song ‘Yebo’ landed her the latter award. Hlophe will be sharing the stage with Takie Ndou, Sneazy Msomi, Nduduzo Matse, Sbua Noah, Linda Dlamini, Portia Praise to name a few.
