PRINCE LINDANI APPOINTED ECONOMIC AFFAIRS DIRECTOR

HIS Majesty the King Mswati III has appointed Lizinyane Prince Lindaninkhosi as the Economic Affairs Director at the King’s Office.

 

This appointment was announced by the King’s Office Chief Officer Chief Mgwagwa Gamedze and it is with immediate effect.

 

The king also redeployed Prince Mphiwa Dlamini to the position of Political Affairs Director at the King’s Office with effect from last week Thursday.

 

“On behalf of the Royal Board of Trustees, Management and Staff of the King’s Office, I would like to congratulate HRH Prince Lindaninkhosi on his new appointment and Mr Mphiwa Dlamini on his redeployment. Bayethe! Wena waPhakathi,” stated Gamedze.

 

Prince Lindani as he is affectionately known, aged 31-years is a son to Inkhosikati Make LaMbikiza and younger brother to Minister of Information and Communication Technology Princess Sikhanyiso.

 

He joined Umbutfo Eswatini Defence Force in October, 2008 where he underwent vigorous training at Mbuluzi Army Barracks and graduated in 2009.

 

He is also a graduate of the military school in the United States of America and Sandhurst Royal Academy. He holds the rank of Major in the EUDF.

 

He also serves as a board member of Eswatini Revenue Authority (SRA). The prince is founder and patron of Lihle Lemaswati Foundation supporting and catering for school fees of many Emaswati children.

 

Through the foundation, he also assists in building houses for the elderly.

 

Meanwhile, Lilangeni Mphiwa Dlamini the late Prince Maguga's son was until 2018 the Chief of Protocol at the King’s Office after having been appointed in 2008 succeeding Mavis Litchfield.

 

His functions included preparing for outside trips of the king, travelling with him at all times and screening and ushering his guests.

 

This position is currently held by Khandlela Mdluli.

 

Before the above-mentioned appointment, Prince Mphiwa had been appointed as a Member of Parliament in 2003.
