BULL PURCHASE HAND-SANITISERS

CAPITAL city side Mbabane Highlanders Director Ally Kgo-mongwe has donated E56 000 worth of hand-sanitiserd to the team’s National Supporters Co-mmittee (NSC) to help through the coronavirus outbreak.

The team has joined the fight against the COVID-19 in the country after purchasing 500 hand sanitisers for its supporters.

Kgomongwe purchased the sanitisers as the coronavirus spread is accelerating in a number of countries worldwide. After going back to his native country South Africa, the director contacted the NSC offering them the donation to help protect the fans and frontline staff.

NSC Chairman Kenneth Dlamini thanked the South African businessman for demonstrating his undying love for the club’s supporters during a presentation held at the team’s offices in Ezulwini yesterday.

“We are grateful to our director for considering our supporters, especially Emaswati during this difficult time in the country. We will distribute the sanitisers to our va-rious branches arou-nd the country. We strongly believe the sanitisers will help in the fight against the pandemic,” he said.

Gesture

The club’s patron, Benson Dlamini thanked Kgomongwe for his kind gesture.

“We would to thank Kgomo-ngwe for taking the initiative in helping the country in the fight against the virus through this donation,” he said.

Also present during the presentation were members of the NSC and the club’s Chief Executive Officer Melusi Dlamini.

The club is aslo said to have donated 100 bottles of hand-sanitisers to the COVID-19 National Task Force yesterday afternoon.

Pandemic

This was confirmed by both the club’s CEO Melusi Dlamini and NSC Chairman Kenneth Dlamini.

The COVID-19 pandemic has stalled all football activities around the world.

Some of the local competitions affected by the pandemic include the MTN Premier League and the EswatiniBank Cup, which was already in the quarter-final stage.

Kgomongwe is in his first year of his five-year contract with the black and white ensemble and has already led the team into the EPTC Charity Cup triumph and SMVAF Ingwenyama Cup second place finish.
