‘MANYISA GOING NOWHERE’

By Melusi Mlotsa | 2019-12-30

SOCCER – Hub giants Manzini Wanderers say their gifted youngster, Leon Manyisa, is going nowhere unless it is a move outside the borders.

This follows reports suggesting that one of the capital city sides is chasing the signature of the   former Green Mamba development product.

Wanderers Chief Executive Officer Sandile ‘Ntofo’Dlamini said the Elangeni pupil was their player and had a running contract except the ongoing case with Armenian side FC Van.

“Manyisa is our player and we are not pleased when we read in newspapers that certain teams want to sign him. The player is back with the team following his trials at Highlands Park,”he said.

Dlamini further said  they were waiting for the verdict of the appeal from the Protest and Disciplinary Committee.

This was after the Mayoyo Dlamini-led committee ruled in favour of Malanti Chiefs in December 9. The verdict saw the hub giants losing three points to Malanti Chiefs.

The maroon and white ensemble was also fined E5000 for fielding a default player in the MTN Premier League.

The enterprising player will not kick the ball until the January transfer window and depending on the outcome of the appeal.

Meanwhile, Manzini Wanderers finished in position seven in the MTN first round log standings. The Nyanga ’Crooks’ Hlophe charges will face Pigg’s Peak Black Swallows on Sunday at Somhlolo National Stadium during their first second round assignment.
