SWAZIJIVE IS BACK RUNNING NEW OFFICES

By Nokwanda Sibandze | 2019-10-10

ON, off and on again, Swazi Jive Entertainment is back and running.

This was confirmed by Director  and founder Sakhile Nkambule.

Nkambule said he was excited to have the stable up and running again.

The stable previously occupied offices at the Checkers Shopping Complex but will now be occupying a new studio at Sidvwashini, in Mbabane.

“We have moved to Sidvwashini now where we will be working on our projects. Currently I am only managing Smokey and Wigo, who are the only artists with the stable,” he said. Swazi Jive recently parted ways with Ginz after their partnership failed soon after creating a company called GinzandJive.

Producer LO also followed soon after as he released a statement saying he would no longer be working with Swazi Jive.

Speaking to this publication, Nkambule had previously said working solo was tough but he was managing everything well.

He also revealed through this publication that he would be bringing the stable’s festival Hipnotik back.

Nkambule seems to be busy with a number of things concerning getting back his studio up and running, planning the Hipnotik Festival.

However, Nkambule said the details about the festival were still not ready for release yet tickets are available as people have been seen buying them.

Speaking to Gcebile Mamba, who has attended the festival since its debute, she said even though she did not understand what was going on with the festival and the stable, she was still willing to buy the tickets but only after the release of the line-up.

“I love the festival and the secrecy around it is killing me, I hope Sakhile knows what he is doing because some people are still willing to attend the festival. I also hope that if he continues with hosting the show in South Africa it will be as good as the one he will do for Eswatini,” she said.
