ESWATINI’S very own designer Sikhulile Dlamini recently showcased her designs in Seychelles Fashion Week 2018.
The fashion week was held from November 30 to December 1 in Victoria, Seychelles.
Showcasing her work at the fashion week meant the world to Dlamini as she said her vision was to satisfy her customers with the quality and price of her clothing.
Seychelles Fashion Week celebrates the fashion industry in the Seychelles, where Seychelles designers, both professionals and amateurs would come together accompanied by new, young and aspiring designers converging onto the runway with international designers to showcase and exhibit their collections.
Dlamini said her earliest memory of fashion was back in 2004 when she was still studying BCom Accounting at the University of Eswatini.
“I also studied Fashion Design during my spare time at IFashion Academy. I always design for individual customers for special occasions and functions,” said the designer.
Dlamini specialises on women’s occasional clothing.
She said she loved creating specific garbs for specific functions.
Worth noting is that Dlamini won the SEDCO youth entrepreneurship of the year 2014/15 award.
