SPINNING, drifting, burnt tyres, music and wild screams were the order of the day at the Motorsport Round Three held at Riders Ranch in Sidvokodvo.

The spin competition saw a number of renowned spinning teams like Team Welly, Team Scorpion and Team Swazi battling it out on the spin ground.

The event was not only about spinners but car racing too as racers partook in highly competitive racing.

A convoy of cars such as Mercedes, BMW and Volkswagen Golf GTI battled it out.

Mercedes Benz took the crown.

What caught the eye of the spectators were the burning tyres, raving engines and the daring stunts by drivers who could not stop at anything with their stunts while the car spins.

The event was fairly attended and everyone seemed to be a spin fanatic. Keeping the arena pumping with good music and party vibes was DJ Lady Zee who had everyone dancing to her gqom music.

She was later joined by other local acts who included Zulu D, KB, DJ Mndeni, Tilungu and many more.

Before the prize giving ceremony, the organising committee ceremony assured fun fanatics that the fourth round would be held next month.

They also acknowledged their sponsors which varied from Eswatini Mobile to Elcor and Betta Parts who awarded the winners with toolboxes,  smart phones and cash.

Racers and spinners also expressed their gratitude to such good initiatives which allow them to show off their skills and win.

Speaking to a renowned spinner from South Africa Sunesh, he said he was looking forward to the next show. “Hey, it is always a pleasure to be in the country and share expertise with other spinners and also watch others spin.

 We can learn a lot from them,” shared Sunesh, who is famously known for being the brains behind ‘So you think you can spin’.
