THE ‘Girl Child’ has been fiercely celebrated.
This was visibly noted during the ‘Dear Daughter’ book launch yesterday held at The Hive in Mbabane.
Basically, Dear Daughter is a manual book that has been penned by renowned motivational speaker and businesswoman Zanele Mbokazi.
She tackles all issues that are faced by girls and never spoken about.
Speaking at the launch, Mbokazi said before anything in this world, she is a mother, she was once a daughter to someone and she knows the struggles faced by young girls in this world.
With this book, the celebrated businesswoman tackles all these issues.
The launch was graced by personalities and influencers such as SWAGAA Executive Director Cebile Manzini, Swazi Mobile Chief Costumer Executive Gciniwe Fakudze, Swazi Plaza Marketing and Communications Specialist Nqobile Ndlangamandla, businessman Lucky Simelane, radio personality and SWAMA Vice President Lindelwa Mafa and Amanda Mo to mention a few.
Mbokazi was accompanied by her husband, Bishop Mpendulo Nkambule.
“Parents let down their children; they do not sit them down because of taboos. I wanted to change that because we end up losing our children to bad society,” shared Mbokazi.
Mbokazi said the book is also made for parents who are frightened to sit down with their children and talk about different issues.
The ‘Dear Daughter’ is gunned for greater things to come as they have roped celebrities for their support.
Soul singer Amanda Mo, Cleopatra and Swazi Jive artist Adrienne Foo, who was represented by her manager Sakhile Nkambule, were revealed as ambassadors of the campaign.
Speaking to Amanda Mo, she said she was highly grateful for the opportunity as this was something she could have used too while growing up.
Worth noting, two young girls delivered a vote of thanks to Mbokazi.
They acknowledged her for such a great opportunity.
“Thank you mom Mbokazi for such an opportunity. It has changed my life so well and for the better,” said Saim Christian school pupil Naomi Ndlela
Also saying something was SWAGAA Executive Director Cebile Manzini.
Manzini said they were looking forward to work with the author on future projects that would curb women abuse
