WTM AFRICA 2019 REGISTRATION BEGINS

By Simon Shabangu | 2019-01-21

REGISTRATION for the B2B Travel Trade Show, an initiative of World Travel Market (WTM) Africa 2019, is officially open.

Local tourism industry players led by the Eswatini Tourism Authority (ETA) are also expected to join the thousands of international industry players and stakeholders at the WTM Africa hosted in partnership with the City of Cape Town from the 10-12 April this year. In previous years, a number of locals travelled to Cape Town to partake in this fast growing and popular trade show which attracts industry players from all over the world. The trade show brings together travel exhibitors, buyers, experts, media and stakeholders from across Africa for three intensive days of meeting, networking, interacting and learning to drive the growth of the continental industry, on a global scale. The conference will once more host presentations and interactive sessions with global travel influencers, covering the topics that shape travel trends in the tourism industry.

Responsible

The WTM responsible tourism conference will be led by Dr Harold Goodwin, Managing Director of the Responsible Tourism Partnership and Emeritus Professor and Responsible Tourism Director at Manchester Metropolitan University. The trade show comes just a few weeks before the Durban Tourism Indaba which is considered as ‘fertile hunting ground’ for local tourism and hospitality industry players. However, the focus is shifting to Cape Town while most of the players prefer to attend both shows as they offer a variety of consumers.
